Hello friends,

so I spend the best part of today lugging this beauty around, it's a CVM-1850. I had started to believe this model did not even exist as I had only ever seen the smaller 13 inch and larger 22 inch variants for sale.

The unit itself is in pretty good condition and still functional, the geometry is mostly fine - which is pretty amazing for a 42 year old TV which has apparently never been recapped.

However, when testing it, I couldn't get an NTSC signal to work in color, it only showed up in b/w. PAL worked fine. I know for a fact that this model supports NTSC, it says so in the original manual I got with it and even has a "hue" dial hidden behind one of the little doors.

What could be the problem here? Could it be a problem with the built-in signal auto-detection and switching? Or something with the NTSC circuitry itself? How should I proceed?
