I've just played Dragon Quest 8 (that dub is amazing!) and it's gotten me interested in the series.

The problem is that I'm finding it all so confusing. There's so many games, and so many different versions, and I hear that some are worthless, and sometimes they're only worthless in certain forms...So can you guys throw me a bone here, and help me out in which ones are worth playing as a continuation of the good vibes that VIII has given me, and which releases of those games?

never played the games before, whats the best/easiest to get into Dragon Quest game? prefrebly something on the game boy advance or SNES so i can play it on my phone.
