Hey guys I picked up a CRT monitor from the side of the street.
I hooked it up to my PC and was excited to MAME some nigs.
But there is a some terrible graphical effect of light horizontal streaks the size of this text going across the screen.
It looks like someone took the blur tool and click dragged it horizontally several times across my desktop background image.
In my Finder I can see streaks beside every listed item in every folder as if I set it to alternate line colour for easier visibility but I didn't.
In 3D games like the Witcher I can see a ghosting effect behind/in front of my character as he moves.
This happens even when I plug the monitor to my laptop so it's not a videocard glitch.
None of the many options in the CRT's onscreen menu can do anything about these artifacts.

What went wrong with my CRT monitor?
Has anyone here had this happen to them?
Is there a fix or repair for this problem?
