FF7 by a wide margin.
Don't get me wrong, CT is a great game, but it has an entirely different goal and design philosophy from FF7.
CT has great execution and pacing with few/no flaws, but it's not very deep. Bland characters with little development and a basic plot. 7 on the other hand goes all in. great plot, amazing characters with tons of depth, development and interaction, awesome music, great aesthetic and style, and fast, flashy and satisfying combat. 7 has it all.

yes you should play it, just keep in mind it's a 25 year old game. so if you are ok with the jrpg gameplay from that era, then you will have a blast.

my first was 4 back in 1993, and while I liked it at the time, it's a thoroughly mediocre game. 6,7 and 12 are way better. hell, 8, 9 and 13 are better.

yes. obviously it's a bit dated and shows its age but it's still a masterpiece.
