So I recently picked up a Viewsonic G220fb Monitor for the price of $5. It's working, doesn't have distortion, and outside of some resolution and graphics card combos giving me weird image positions, seems to be able to handle damn near everything I throw at it. The only downsize is, well, every 1600x1200 CRT is gonna be heavy. Pictured here is the Macintosh version of Dark Forces running in 640x480 mode.

My question is, though, how would I go about connecting my Dreamcast, and maybe some other consoles from the generation that shall not be named to it? I'm asking because there seems to be a bunch of dreamcast VGA cables out there that all end in a male connector, and I don't know if getting one of those and an adapter would be good, or if I legitimately need a VGA box. And, with those boxes, I'm a bit unsure of which would actually be the best.
