I have pic related and an everdrive so there's no reason for me to get a mini. I'm glad more people are getting into the system though. Been playing Ys Book I and II, Sapphire, Castlevania, Bonk and New Adventure Island. I load up Devil's Crush a lot as well.

I bought a Super CD Rom expansion for my PC Engine last last year for roughly $150 USD . Wasn't reading discs so I opened it up, replaced the drive's transport gear with another I bought for $5. Works great now, and the caps are still in good condition for now.
