FIO!

retro games:
>fire up the emulator, pick a rom and go have fun within 10 seconds.

modern games:
>boot the console
>console needs to download and install update
>have to wait for 120gb game file to download
>the game needs another 50gb patch to download
>endless company splash screens when I start it
>pointless tutorial section that makes sure I know how to crouch under the single low ceiling in the entire game
>loading screens have leftist propaganda
>can't play my game because of server maintenance even though its singleplayer
>total lack of innovation means that every big title looks and plays the exact same
>entire industry is a dumpster fire filled with people who hate actually playing video games
>Characters who are actually physically attractive get censored, but I'm forced to watch scenes where repugnant character models engage in revolting sex scenes
>If customers express even the slightest bit of disdain and don't act like slobbering smoothbrain consoomers, the entire industry loses its collective shit like spoiled children.

Maybe there are a few bright spots here and there with modern games, but as a whole the collective industry has let me down and I hate the modern gaming experience.
