What I honestly want to know is how anyone can rate VIII over VII. I played them both for the first time earlier this year, and 8 felt like a step backwards from 7 in almost every regard; it's like they chose to focus on 7's absolute worst aspects with the sole exception being the graphics. At least when people say 9 is better I can (sort of) understand where they're coming from.
