Fucking around with GMOTA instead of making any progress on the wad I want to make

A couple of months ago, I bought an original GBA with an IPS screen.
The most amount of modding I've ever done was replacing the shitty generic buttons it came with with some official ones. Some say IPS screens are pretty much overkill, but I think mine looks great.

It would have been cheaper to install the screen myself, but man, I know jackshit about soldering. I feel like I would just end up damaging the console or something.

Why is being posted out of the general?
Also OP it was praised for having the best frame rate at the time, having the most levels of any port at the time, and it controls very well. The OST is the cherry on top, the PC version has great tracks but when you are stuck on a level, hearing the same midi for thirty minutes gets more tiring than the ambient tracks on loop.
