>They're artificial difficulty,
Can you explain what you mean by this? What exactly do you mean by the difficulty is artificial? Is it because jumping in the game has a fixed trajectory? Is it because you get knocked back when you get hit?
>It's impossible to beat most of the stages on the first try, you are forced to autistically memorize the patterns.
First of all, with any game that has some actual challenge, it's very hard without foresight to make it through the whole stage on your first try, not because it's impossible or even that it's unfair, it's just you never exactly know how to react to first time through, with every death you learn what not to do, like instead of jumping and whipping the Medusa heads when you first see them, try ducking and dodging the first one and then whip the next one when it comes in range. That's just a fundamental aspect of video games with any challenge to them in general. Also I never once had to "autsitically" remember any of the patterns in literally any Classicvania game, and I beat them all without any aid from save states or cheats or whatever, they're not even that ridiculously difficult that you need to nail down exactly every pattern, there's actually a decent amount of room for error thanks to wall-chicken and check points, as well as infinite continues. What you're describing sounds way more like Ninja Gaiden than Castlevania.
I encourage everyone who hasn't played Classicvanias but wants to, to disregard everything in your post.

Eat shit and die OP, fuck you. Fuck all these stupid bait CV threads, fuck all of you cocksuckers.

To everyone who loves Castlevania, you're pretty based and not a total faggot, unlike OP.

Castlevania comes from a time when the characters didn't matter.

Castlevania 1 has Simon. Castlevania 3 has Trevor. But are they really all that different?
