Indeed the biggest sin OP's commited.
It's the most fun 2600 title I've played by far.
It's still a decent list though.

P.S. 7800's the most sleek looking console ever.

I recommend Atari 2600 stuff in general, but to be more specific... Adventure, Asteroids, Berzerk, Enduro, Haunted House, HERO, Pitfall, Pitfall 2, Raiders of the Lost Arc, River Raid, Space Invaders and Yars' Revenge... because they're so ideal for handhelds, when you have a few minutes to play and want something easy to just pick up and play for a while before putting it down. Atari 7800's the same due to being quite similar to the Atari 2600 in style of software.

I know what you mean, but don't be too hard on the 7800, Atari sabotaged it by not releasing it when it was ready, it was never meant to be their response to the NES or Master System, because they finished it way before, but released it after them in a ridiculous move. I think it's the optimal Atari console to own in fact, since it's compatible with 2600 cartridges... also, it's still stunning.

I don't think we've ever gotten, nor will we ever get, a console as stunning as the Atari 7800. It's such a shame Atari took so long to release it...

I recently got into Atari 2600... I've been playing Adventure, Asteroids, Berzerk, Donkey Kong, Enduro, HERO, Pitfall, Pitfall 2, Rampage, River Raid, Space Invaders, Yars' Revenge... and it's all way better than I expected. It still holds up, and this is coming from a filthy zoomer, having these short experiences, with simple controls, simple rules, that you can just pick up and play, is just so appealing even today. I'm mostly playing them through emulation on my smartphone, they're perfect for when you have 5min to spare and just want something to have a little fun.

P.S. Atari 7800 is the most stunning console ever.

Better hardware than the nes and sega system. Shame atari was retarded and it didn't get more games.

>Sorry son, I couldn't find that "Nintendo" you wanted anywhere, but luckily I managed to find something even better! It's a new Atari! Only cost me $50. We have a ton of old Atari tapes in the basement already, have fun!
Your response?

Could have been more successful if it was launched when it was supposed to.

I think I might be mistaken, but I think this was more popular than the Master System in the States.

How would you think it would have fared out if it was released?
