Use nestopia for NES games
SNES9X for SNES
bgb for Gameboy/Gameboy Color
mGBA for GBA
KEGA Fusion for Genesis
Retroarch for other shit like TurboGrafix, N64 and PSone.

Currently I use a Hori Mini PS4 controller to play all this shit but I've been strongly considering picking up a Hori Fighting Commander Octa.

Landstalker is annoying at times, the forest maze and final dungeon are particularly good examples of stupid bullshit.
Still worth a playthrough, and Alundra is far better. Though Alundra suffers from stupid shit thanks to Working Designs.
I fucking love Zelda and I see merit in any game that tries to follow the formula.
