Tron here had a pretty interesting design that allowed them to get three different gamestyles out of the same set of objects. Even though this is pretty close to one of those 3600-games-in-one things where everything on the LCD screen is a glorified giant pixel, I think there's still some ingenuity here. Some of the Pac-Man and Bomberman clones too utilized some interesting designs in how like for instance, the player character and the enemies would have to be layered over each other or share parts.
