I've been playing on Crispy DOOM and played most of the way through the level with saves
Have I cheated? Not in the "is saving cheating" meme argument way, but by saving in a map not designed for saving to be possible.

Just found out there was a rocket launcher in MAP11 of Hell Revealed after I beat the map without one

Alright, I crunched the numbers and determined it's technically possible. The level has 17 shotgunners, but six of them are behind a wall and you can't collect their shells. That's 44 bullets. The game also has a backpack and one box of shells, so you can get 68 bullets total, more than enough to kill the cyberdemon.
I actually Tyson'd my way to the end of the level with enough shell but then died to the cyberdemon because I panicked and failed to circlestrafe. I recorded a demo of it but it desynced because APPARENTLY YOU CAN'T FUCKING PAUSE WHILE RECORDING A DEMO IN CHOCOLATE DOOM OR IT DESYNCS FUCK

I've been stuck on TNT MAP11 for like a week. The part where you go into the room filled with crates and enemies just keep spawning in gets me every time. It feels like I don't have the firepower to kill enemies quickly enough when cornered when I use the regular shotgun or chaingun, but at the same time when I use the SSG I can't keep up with enemies coming out from a corner in succession without them getting potshots off me due to the slower rate of fire. Am I stupid, is there an intended way to handle this situation that isn't "run outside and spend ten minutes shooting any enemies that wander past?"

So, anyone here today who isn't fucking deranged?
