If you wanted to keep your downloaded Satellaview game and wanted a new game as well you would have to buy another memory pack, not to mention that downloaded games had DRM that would make the game unplayable after a certain amount of plays. Oh, and you wouldn't be able to replay SoundLink titles ever again in their original form after their broadcast was discontinued forcing fans to hack a single version of a broadcast release into a playable form, while the other releases were lost to time.

You do understand that the whole draw of Sega Channel was the idea that you no longer had to buy new carts all the time if you wanted to play new games right?
