Well she's in kind of that weird niche. She's too assertive for the Japanese fans (Who don't like the Chinese much to start) who prefer the cutsey pure snowflake princesses like Kasumi and she's not quite as rowdy as Tina was for the western tastes. Then you got more and more girls being added while the girls who aren't ninjas keep getting less and less focus. And now you have the walking anime cliches like Marie and Honk who are test focused to pander to otaku fags.
