My Xenogears data got wiped when my PS3 died.

I'd really hate to play it all over again.

Is there any way to download a save file of where I was at in the game? If that is possible please tell me how to do it.

I lived RPGS as a kid.
I loved talking to as many NPCS as possible and learning more about the game world and story.

Until I played Xenogears.
I stopped reading any of the text about half way through the first disc.

What do you make of the story of this game?
I played it back when I was 13 and didn't get a lot of things, replayed it recently 17 years later, and while I do understand it a little bit better, I still think it's pretentious and a clusterfuck, specially Disc 2.

That said, I'm fairly amazed this was released in 1998. You would think between the complex translation, risky content and heavy story focus. nobody would bother translating it, but I guess that speaks of the dominance Square and RPGs in general had in the market back then. Was there anything similar to Xenogear's story in terms of scale and complexity before or after the game came out? On a console?

Every time I get into a battle in Xenogears, the music slows down. Is there a way to stop this?

What plugins/ config did you use?

Also went and bought this thanks to the demo that came with Parasite Eve. Square really went out of their way to promote all their games back then...what they're doing right now with FFXV is such a joke...but then again it's hardly the same company now.

Question: are there any western RPGs with a similar plot and cast to Xenogears or Suikoden 2?

Sup /vr/ I'm looking to try out JRPGs from the 1980s to around the early 2000s. I've already played through Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, FFVIII and a few others, but I really want to try out a lot more. I don't care how famous the games are so long as they're good.

I need some more games with a deep story and the lore spans several centuries. Are there any more out there besides Xenogears?

Just got imprisoned in d block.

Really wish there was a text speed option, it feels slower then most RPG's.

Also even for RPG standards this game is pretty easy so far but still enjoying the story and mysteries.
