>if you finally find a map that lets you choose any faction you like, it starts you off with two towns to manage

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME
How come people never make normal maps where you start with a single town? How come the factions are predetermined? I swear, it's always a lottery with these custom maps, you either can't pick a faction or you start with two towns at your disposal.
