even so, wtf is the point of engine-side ssao if modern compilers bake ao into the lightmap already?

meanwhile fteqw supports bloom, hdr and all that garbage already out of the box. you're gonna have better luck pestering its dev instead, if your favorite screen-smearing fx aren't in yet.
