Yes and no. The most important games (Virtua Fighter 2, Daytona USA, Panzer Dragoon Saga, NiGHTS, Burning Rangers, etc. etc.) were released worldwide. North America got 258 games, just short of N64's 296. It was basically SEGA's N64.

This is why I recommend mostly first party games on the Saturn. The people who play it only for Japanese games are literally a niche within a niche, like people who play only Japanese exclusives on the SNES. It took me a while to realize this

I bring this up all the time. Reala, Jackle, Puffy, and Gillwing are literally in the game, it was just stuck on a failed console (kind of like the Saturn)
