nyone else think Tails was what got the Sonic series started on it's downward spiral? Tails was the beginning of the "Sonic's gay new friend" trope that would plague the 2000's.

In my opinion the only other animal character that should've been in Sonic was Knuckles because he still keeps Sonic's "cool" factor and is a badass foil to him. Every other character should've been a human or a robot. Sonic's gay friends like Tails and the freedom fighters killed his "cool" factor.

This year I was cleaning my room, saw this case and said "Why the fuck not?". At first I was unsure of what exactly I was feeling while going through loop-de-loops, half-pipes, vacuum tubes, spring boards, getting hit, collecting a ring, getting hit, collecting a ring, bouncing on Eggman for eight seconds. Of course I now recognize it to have been the early onset of nihilism. Donkey Kong Country might've been the game that truly brought the platformer genre into the dark ages of inanity, but it wasn't the outbreak monkey.
