To continue (hit character limit), I did not personally think anything could look better than a trinitron until I got this Panasonic at the same time and place as the PVM. I thought 'sweet, an extra RGB monitor in case something happens to the PVM', but upon trying both I was rather shocked that I preferred the shadow mask. I was initially biased towards the PVM.

I will always remain fascinated with how CRT's actually work internally, even if I do at some point somehow lose interest in older games (or run out of old games to play!) - I don't currently use a PC CRT monitor, but I've still got my Sony CPD-100SF (July 1996) in case I ever feel like some Quake.
