ITT: we beg people to give us pictures of sprites as they appear on tube TVs. Can you do a few more FF6 sprites? Perhaps Humbaba or Bahamut or the Tyrannosaurus?

It can be alright, but given a choice I'd always prefer the look of 240p or 480p.

Full disclosure: I mainly play PS2 and GameCube games, and nowadays ISO-patching/bootloading + Swiss respectively let you force 240p/480p with decent and perfect compatibility respectively (some PS2 games do misbehave though).
The RT5x supposedly downscales by chucking out every second line (unlike the interpolation function of the extron emotia/RGB Interface DDSP switch) so it should be robust and lag-free.

>For sixth gen, OSSC + rgb scart cables works well and looks great on my LG CX, but you do get the flicker from BOB interlacing which some people hate, and if the game jumps between resolutions then you get few seconds of black screen until OSSC adjusts. The upcoming pro model and retrotink 5x dont have these problems, but they also cost 5x more, that or just play on CRT like developers intended™.
The motion-adaptive deinterlacing (vs. bob) is like a game-changer for me because I'm someone that doesn't like the bob/weave techniques. I was just gonna grab/build a GBSC for it, but the RT5x has the downscaling function too, and I'll be honest I like the look of the new filters.
Do we know anything about the Pro OSSC coming up? The guys who made the N64 digital are also working on something that simulates phosphor bleed (eg. see the moonlight reflecting on the water in the background in my image), allegedly, and that's really cool if so. Missing out on that kinda thing, and the colour space issue on the tink is the only reason I'm worried about sinking $300 into it now.

Not him, but I kinda agree with the original dude.
I use my MiSTer with a CRT but that CRT will die one day. In anticipation of that day, and new/er technology like OLED and micro LED, it wouldn't be bad if (even if over time) we got some more in-depth filter and blending options like CRTroyale for retroarch to better recreate the look of how games appeared.
