Only if there is another evolution in gaming (which will likely be mass adoption of VR headsets). This guy >>7884071 has the same take as me so I'll apply it to your post. PS3-PS4-PS5 games are part of the same era. Sony and Microsoft dabbled with the motion control fad for a bit but even Nintendo no longer cares about that. To me, it's all-or-none when it comes to this 15+ year era of gaming being considered retro.

Guarantee it was an anti-piracy update and nothing else. They're not really "supporting" the console.
