Not sure what your boner for giving a series that is a majority 2d explorative platformers to devs mostly known for FPS games but a majority of your suggestions of who they should sell th IP too suck dick. Outside of Id which is a quality developer but Modern Doom and Metroid Prime are far different games that even I don't think they should make one.

So the already spotty amount of metroid games could be even spottier. HL3 is a bigger never ever title than Metroid Dread was and Metroid Prime 4 will ever be.

If they and that's a big IF, they did give it to one of their top tier devs. EA's stupid ass marketing tactics could most definitely result in a Dead Space 3 or Titanfall 2 situation where they try to push profits by fucking over their own devs. That's not even getting into their recent boner with microtransactions and over priced DLC.

Yeah that's what I want for Metroid to become a cover shooter like Gears or have building like Fortnite. Outside of the fact that the company is Tencent bootlickers with a horrible game client and launcher I couldn't think of a weaker developer for a Metroid game.
