One more thing, Jello will always be based to me for two things:
1. He ran for mayor of San Francisco and appeared on the local news vacuuming the sidewalks and streets to "clean up the streets:

2. Dead Kennedys were invited to the Bay Area Music Awards in 1980. This was black tie big event for bands and record labels and the crowd was full of execs and industry people. They were asked to come and perform California Über Alles. They started the song then stopped and said they had to prove they were now a New Wave band and started to perform Pull My String, a song that completely shits on the record industy and also parodies fellow musical guests The Knacks recent hit My Sharona as "My payola". They only performed that song once at this show and never again. Needless to say they pissed everyone off and were banned from ever returning. We have the audio but only this photo of them. Video footage of the performance is sort of a holygrail for DK fans. It still hasn't yet surfaced.
