Well, yes, it's Toriyama's sameface designs. And in the 90s, everynip worshipped Toriyama's sameface designs. The entire Spanish-speaking world worships them even now. But you've jogged my memory: Cross came out directly after I played Trigger for the first time, and I never treated it as a sequel precisely because of this. The art style itself was non-canon. Cross is an episode of FF, not CT.
