It's surprisingly good. I thought it was braindead shit like the original, but it has a lot of secret depth.

And by playing it my first time, I mean emulating the PS2 version of the superior Dark Legacy at 3k with 16x filtering

Can we have a thread for discussing all things (retro) Gauntlet? I hardly ever see this series mentioned on /vr/

Sure, hack-and-slash games get a little monotonous after a while, but something about Gauntlet always draws me back in. Maybe it's just the nostalgia factor for me. I spent a good bit of my teenage years co-oping Gauntlet Legends with my friends. I did nonetheless enjoy the classic arcade Gauntlet as well.

Did anyone else notice how good the arcade ports midway did for the N64 are? In some cases like NBA Hangtime, Cruisn World, Gauntlet Legends or MK4 they're practically arcade perfect
