/vr/ - Retro Games

My cousin (12 years old) loved playing on my AOKZOE A1 back when I had it, he really liked old 3D games on it and was blown away by Rayman 3 because he only ever played Rayman Origins on his family's Xbox. I figured I would buy him a Retroid Pocket 3+ as a Christmas gift because it can emulate many 6th gen games well. I thought about Retroid Pocket 2S at first because that's what I have but I decided that he might also want to play native Android games on it (he's gen Alpha after all) and a bigger 16:9 display is better suited for that, a more powerful GPU is also nothing to scoff at. It was only $24 more expensive for the same amount of storage and RAM, too. Picked the black version because it's the most neutral color and I risk him being put off by it if I buy a brighter and more colorful version + he's too young to recognize any of the consoles those colors reference.

I'm gonna set it up for him and preload it with ROMs and custom settings for many 6th gen game, I will also do some benchmarks to see how much better it performs against my 2S 3/32GB if I have time left before Christmas.
