I don't think Marvel's Iron Man fully broke into mainstream public consciousness from the comics until the live action film did it justice; if you were to ask most people pre-2008 what an "Iron Man" was, you're more likely to get "oh, you mean the Black Sabbath song?" as a response, so I can see that happening.

No localization is permanent. For example, they walked back on Main Cannon #2 when the Combo Cannon reappeared by name as a move in Planet Robobot, and Cupid was reverted to Angel in a Triple Deluxe keychain. At least they added the title "Big Bad Mama" to convey what a "mam" is supposed to be, but part of me wonders if they also changed it to Grand Mam in reference to the "Grand Dad" meme.
Here's one that irks me from Mass Attack onwards: "Popstar", one word, or sometimes "Planet Popstar", ala Return to Dream Land. First off, it's always been intentionally described as a star to capture a childlike sense of fantasy, and to a lesser extent, they did that to Milky Way Wishes too (Marx calls them "stars" in the intro yet they now have "Planet" in their name in the remake). I guess the localizer was allowed to alliterate on a whim. Secondly, what does that make the Kirby 64 areas? Rockstar, Aquastar, Neostar, Shiverstar, Ripplestar, and Darkstar? The current translations of the surrounding stars are left all over the place.
Circling back to Milky Way Wishes, it has what looks like a dyslexic moment in rendering 'AKUARISU'.
