Absolutely based keeping the Ion Fury torch lit. Favorite Build game.

I finally realized something about Ion Fury. As much as I love the gameplay, the aesthetics, and Shelly's really hot with a great voice, they didn't lean far enough AT ALL into Shelly's role as a police officer in this hellhole future D.C. Shelly's lines are more indicative of a woman being badass than a woman of the law. Instead of

Why couldn't it be something like

as you gun down some enemies. Just anything at all related to her profession for fuck's sake. But by the same token, I think it would have been career suicide for everyone involved considering the times we live in to have a video game where you play as a cop gleefully engaging in police brutality.
tl;dr Ion Fury is 20 years too late to the party to be the game it oughta be but man that shotgun tickles my balls and so does Shelly.

I've heard that said a lot, but I think it's too many people comparing it to Doom and Duke. Fury is more in line with Blood and HL1, whose majority of interesting enemies are humans. I find HL1 and Blood's combat really satisfying, so Ion Fury was like riding a bike for me, hit scanners and all.
