Croc and Independence day were pushed as the big christmas games for a while.
The magazines tried to hype up Clayfighter a fair bit acting as if was the game that we always wanted.

Ridge racer 4 is one I felt didn't get enough hype considering its legacy, I thought there might be something wrong with it.

I've always been a "games don't age" guy, but there is the massive issue of early 3d games.
camera control and even 3d movement didn't have a standard yet.

i'm still not sure how i played croc on the sega saturn.
