The Quake 2 25th Anniversary Collaborative UNIT will get its v1.0 soon (hopefully, pending one mapper, again...)! This is probably the best way to play the Quake 2 now, with some improvements to enemy behaviour (that was cut out of the game for some reason) and faster weapon switching among other things.
