I've seen a few restaurants still get arcade machines once in a while. Local place has Primal Rage. My favorite arcade games are Rampage and Bubble/Puzzle Bobble

That's rationalizing. For me continues is nothing but a batch of extra lives. I literally do the math: I got 5 lives and 3 continues... Cool I got 14 lives left.

The games had just moved from the arcades into people's homes. Basically they just kept the tradition of continues because that's just the way things were. Continues without quarters are retarded.
