I agree that mid-late 6th gen was rather different from 5th and earlier ones, but I still think it can't survive on its own on one board (/v2k/), and that /vr/ will suffer in the longterm from not merging. (you see a lot of repeated discussion topics and resident autists, like ITT) I don't think allowing 6th gen means 7th> needs to be allowed eventually, because the difference between those two is massive: HD screens, internet, game design, arcadey stuff being gone completely, etc. At most a /vhd/ board when 7th gen and beyond becomes novel, although I wouldn't vouch for it.

There are too many boards, I agree, and mods have been pandering to people instead of banning them or making deals with them (/trash/, /vmg/, etc), but you can only complain so much until it gets tiring. You and the people you're talking to are clearly oversocialized though, I can see why someone would b& you (hint: it probably has nothing to do with the images you're posting)
