This. One of the reasons why the only threads I really open on the board are this thread or genuine hardware threads like about a specific console or things like CRT monitors etc.
I thought the /v/ kids wouldn't bother with their disingeous and low effort bs on such a niche board or people into boomershit being so gullible as to fall for lazy troll threads.

But I'm pretty damn glad this thread mostly sniffs and boots out the /v/ scum.

Depends on what you're aiming for. I would personally say that designing for saveless pistol start UV is NOT some agreed-upon standard. You could also try to start with easier maps and gradually push yourself out of you comfort zone as you become better and more confident to take on your levels without saves, pistol starting etc etc.
