It adds new sound effects for any of the monsters in the original games that shared ambient grunts or sound effects, so now every enemy who shared sounds has their own unique grunts, including lost souls, Spectres (v.s. pinkies), Archviles, etc.

There's also a variant which uses the spookier PSX sounds.
