I think the fact people actually fough by summoning GFs over and over again was fucking stupid especially when fighting by using physical attacks and limits break was always better (not to mention faster) way to fight.

Anyway anyone else think that overly long attack animations popularized by FFVII was fucking stupid and something that really should NOT have become a norm in JRPGs? At least the spam square button to do little more damage thing in FFVIII gave you something to do while wacthing that pointless hourlong attack animation...

Alright here are 2:

First one was actually from a gaming magazine from late 90s that claimed you could get Sephiroth's Super Nova summon by constantly talking to everyone at Junon on the 3rd disc. Still being on "FFVII is the best game evar" phase me and my friend who practically played FFVII non-stop at the time spend few days trying do this. This one seemed to come from legit source as the same magazine had a detailed guide on how to beat Ruby and Emerald Weapons but thinking about it now it clearly was an april's fools prank.

The second one was from internets from the era it was a very detailed guide on how to turn Ramza into a dark knight in FFT. IIRC it went something like this:
Turn Gafgarion into a priest before the battle at Zirekile falls
Keep the equipment he had on your inventory
When you are about to enter the castle you fight against Gafgarion turn Ramza into a squire, equip him with the exact same equipment Gafgarion had when he joined your team at the beginning of the chapter and then kill him and you inherit his dark knight class from the crystal he leaves behind. Being a dumbass I also tried to make this happen many times.
