Need your help guys. My MD model 1 is fucked
Symptoms
- one 7805 was missing (fixed. any non heating, cheap alternative?)
-No YM2612 sounds (checked with 240p test suite, gets really hot after short while)
-Z80 RAM Error (240p test suite test displayed it)
-Freezes randomly when playing games (2h in 240p test suite works fine. Probably has something to do with problems seen above)

I have a small problem with my Model 1 Mega Drive. I've done 1 switch mod, all is working great but after 5 minutes screen start to flicker like it could not hold V-Sync, sound also slows down. It only takes place on JP/60, EN/60 and EN/50 works as intended. I done some continuity tests and all seems fine. Any help?

Couldnt find in the catalog

Can someone PLEASE send me a link on ebay with good replacements for the gamepad rubbers? I all i can find is those shitty square chinese replacements that are useless when you try to move diagonally with the d-pad.

Here's a question: Is there anything that can be done about brittle plastic on old consoles, either to prevent it becoming brittle or to avoid breaking it when removing screws? I've had to open an NES and a Sega Master System recently to attempt repairs, and on both I broke the screw holes when removing the screws.

OP Question: Anyone know anything about the Atari 7800? Mine has a tendency to reset itself, but not constantly (so probably not a problem with the reset switch). Ms. Pac Man resets right after I leave the title screen (but not during, as I can tell from the continuous animation), but Pole Position will randomly reset during a race. Any idea what would cause this?
