>I have no regrets

How do you do it?
You simply don't give a fuck and accept life as it is, or actually never fucked up even once in all your life? Because the later is kind of hard to believe.

Goemon games have some of the most relaxing/chilly music ever.

OP here, thanks for the suggestions.

My personal pick would be Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. It feels like you're actually traveling through a surreal feudal Japan with great variety and surprises.

Pic partly related.

I think Goemon games have a lot of soul put in them, they go generally unnoticed, especially since they stopped releasing Goemon games after the N64 ones in the west, but those who have played them know they're something special, and remember them very fondly.

I believe Ebisumaru being a girl originated from one of the Famicom games, I think the very first game Ebisu appeared (Goemon 2?), at the end of the game you discover it's a cute girl that was cursed.
Also, Ebisumaru's appeareance is based on the creator of the Goemon games, Etsunobu Ebisu

Yeah they removed the intro and the Impact theme on GGA... I don't know why, but then again, I CAN guess why...
Look at all the professional reviews at the time and you will notice they all "warn" customers about the high Japanese-y stuff in the game, as if it was a bad thing... so Konami in USA decided to try to cut up some of that japanese-y stuff on the sequel... can't really blame them, when the public is idiotic, what can you do? Also it's Konami, not Working Designs or Atlus. Although I'd love to see a Goemon game localized by Atlus USA.
At least GGA got released on the west, could have been worse (and well, it was the last Goemon game to be localized, ever).

I've played that, it's one of the best Goemon games I played, it's a shame it's most likely the last Goemon game ever, but at least its a damn fine one at that. Wish they'd have released a last Goemon in 3D like MNsG for Wii or PS3, but I guess that's a bit too much dreaming for today's gaming standards.
