Mmmm... disagree! Though I did a bit tired of the ''Domo Arigato mr roboto!'' line when killing enemies rather quick. A few more variations for the lines maybe? But otherwise her character's serviceable and the VA did a good job. Same with Heskel, he might not be the villain of the year all years but at least there's a feeling that you are chasing an antagonist rather than there not being any plot besides roleplaying putting down a BLM riot.

It's canon that Duke's own restaurant chain serves dog meat lmao. I don't think the devs cared too much and just wanted to have fun.
I find it oddly charming how Duke is like the peak celebrity in the world or at least the u.s and movies about him are playing in the theaters and I think in the movie set level they were filming ''lunar apocalypse''.
I wish Duke had just greater enemy / sprite variety but hey it's a fine and serviceable game in general so eh it's cool.

But yea implying Duke ip will go anywhere since >Gearbox.

Ion Fury is the most recently come out first person shooter that I feel I thoroughly enjoyed.
Before that Metro 2033 though that's no longer within the scope of retro fps.
Games that came out long ago that I played agains recently, Shadow Warrior,Blood and Half Life 1 freshly today.

I think the ''bantz'' between Shelly and Heskel are alright, it's corny but hey that's the vibe they're going for.

The enemy grunts are a bit more pressing since you can hear them more. Never had too much problem with Shelly's voiceacting personally desu save for some of the lines getting a bit repetitive but it's a fairly long game so.

Overall I think Voidpoint's got a very solid starter they can expand upon and I hope they continue doing boomershooters like this since they at least don't seem to think retro must also mean ugly.

Kek'd at this reference(?) since I've been playing Duke 3d lately also and in the Duke Burger level it's kinda canonized that Duke is using dog meat for the burgers.
