/vr/ - Retro Games

This is a shitty story but maybe someone will find it amusing. I used to work at a call center for a bank, and I once talked to one of the programmers for 3d6 games on the phone when they called in to close their business credit card. I wasn't familiar with the company, but seeing as they were in the gaming industry from their company description, I asked if they had done anything recently - what I was doing on their card had a lot of arbitrary waiting, so I tried to strike up a conversation. He said "'we did some stuff with Sega a long time ago and Tetris, but we don't do games anymore". I asked him what games for Sega and he said (after a deep sigh) Shinobi and Altered Beast for Game Boy Advance. We talked about it for a bit and it became clear he was extremely embarrassed by them and didn't want to elaborate, so I dropped it. I could tell that I had hit a sore spot, and I regretted bringing it up; for the rest of the conversation he was extremely terse and hung up with out saying bye. I felt bad; I guess these were skeletons in his closet he would rather just forget. I can't imagine what its like going through life knowing you helped birth such an abomination, probably a lot like my mom and dad feel today.

Oh I was being sarcastic, they've allowed Shinobi to be fucked up multiple times. Cyber Shinobi and Shinobi 3D are kinda sorta acceptable but the SoR4 guys couldn't do any worse than pic related.
