/vr/ - Retro Games

Is there something I dont get?
For 6 months now Ive sat down and played from FF1 to FF10 (not counting the spinoffs) and I still dont see the appeal.
Now before you say "Hey but you played through them all and it shows you have some interest", please be aware that when I play videogame series I tend to give them all a chance before i make my decision and so far this series just doesnt captivate what games like Resident Evil and The Legend of Zelda have done for me

This happens to me almost every time I play Final Fantasy. I don't know why. There's just no spark.
>Dropped FF1
>Dropped FF3 (the actual 3)
>Dropped FF7
>Dropped FF10
The only ones I ever beat were 6 and Tactics Advanced. I like RPGs, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana, Golden Sun, Pokemon, Mother, ect. But FF is always so token and boring

I've never played Final Fantasy saga, which should I start?
