Juno and Mertis are two people who found themselves to be the only magical people in their town, this led to the issue that the only ones they could fight against was each other.
The first few battles revealed that Juno can't completely defeat Mertis alone and that Mertis couldn't defeat Juno without risking the wraith of more magical girls. With that knowledge they stopped fighting to kill and began fighting less and less seriously to the point that they almost became games of magic tag of Juno trying to stop Mertis from causing trouble a night.

This closeness and sharing of hours eventually added up to the point where they learned of the other's secret identities and began helping one another out when off duty. Such as taking the other home after a fight or even sharing rooms when the other couldn't find a place to stay.

When separated and not fighting Mertis usually sends her Bat Latty along to spy on Juno so she could get early warning if Juno senses trouble from another monster or magical girl entering town, the arrival of the former being one of the few times they'll openly fight together on the same side, while the later being one of the few times Mertis will skip town.

I've had a small argument in the last thread about this matter. It depents on the world you are in. Basically people will reason the situation to the point that they will not believe in paranormal. Also no one will recognise you without the suit unless they saw you actually transform. Just mop up the monster and gtfo. If you have incognito no one will be able to recall seeing you and if you don't they will imagine a runaway animal or a maniac with a flamethrower or whatever.

Shannon's defining trait is her ability to keep a cool head in a crisis- something that's helped her deal with things since her first encounter with a Puuchu. Quiet, calm, and a girl of few words, she tends to hang back and assess the situation before taking action. She doesn't work alone if she can help it- preferring to support other magical girls with magical torrents of water, cutting streams, and the occasional magical healing as needed. While she doesn't hunt full-time, she often volunteers to work with other, often newer magical girls and doesn't charge for her assistance.

Her magical gift means she's among the first members of her team to be transformed, but unless the situation's dire, she'll almost always wait for her partners to take the first shot at the monster. She doesn't like the idea of fighting monstergirls very much, and prefers to offer them a chance to leave peacefully- though events often make that impossible and she's gotten flak for making the offer to girls her coworkers considered dangerous. She tries not to take it personally, but the unnecessary fighting so common for magical girls is starting to really bother her.

CYOA states that people will actively ignore magical shenanigans, to the point of seeing it as a girl chasing a dog or something similar. Setting conceit we've more or less agreed on in thread is that there is an Overcity which is extradimensional, fucking weird, and connects many dimensions and planes. Think of it as a shifty, dangerous Coruscant-esque Sigil with no Lady of Pain keeping things orderly. If you want to have different levels of reality filters in place for normal folk, just set your fiction an Earth or two to the left.

Base level, there's no reason to wipe their memory as they will go, "That's weird" and then rationalize it away in less than 5 minutes.

It's an actual city, with individual parts of the city or doors linking dimensions, rather than a single point which contains all other points. It's overlaid, so some locations co-locate with alternate versions of themselves, so the same warehouse can be vacant, a magical girl home base, a monster lair and a destroyed ruin depending on the route you take to get to it.

It's that, and also Corscucant, Sigil, the Nevernever, and my little ponies. I like to think that most of it is simply cityscape that is disconnected from reality. Yes, there are twisted areas that would align with a Silent Hill aesthetic and feel. There are also pure areas that are just idyllic and look like the surface bits of the city in Mirror's Edge. There's bad and good in equal measure, but unless you're sticking to the shallows and known routes, you could stumble into either, and looks alone aren't a signifier of whether a particular area is safe.

It's okay. I'm not terribly fond of journal format - I have a lot of memories of frustration while reading the original Dracula, and I feel like it both reduces tension and makes any emotional impact one step removed.

There's a fair number of grammatical errors, but I'm guessing this is because English is not your native tongue. You have some overlarge paragraphs that verge on walls of text. I also think you paced the story a little too fast for my taste. two weeks in or so and you're already chumming up to some people on the PRT? It doesn't feel like much of an adjustment period for you to grasp your powers or situation, but that's just my personal opinion, it's still a valid choice.

Overall it's not bad for amateur writefaggotry, but it's not really standout either.

Thanks for your opinion. Had to increase the story development speed a little bit to fit between "the reveal" and becoming an experienced MG. I basically want about 2-3 month worth of experience for Aggi before she enters "The City" so to get up to speed almost every day something important one way or another is going to happen. I guess it is almost normal for this situation because her life got filled up with events due to the transformation. Also not chumming PRT yet. This chehov gun will fire a lot later sometime in April.
About the format I actually chose it because I've recently encountered "stranded in fantasy" and it was one of the most awesome things I dug out from the bottomless depths of the internet. I've actually started slowly translating it. Not much progress though as I ran out of time.

I was thinking about how "after reveal" laws would regulate monster girls and found out that "Chaos" is not really specified. Right now it has no other purpose than to make monster girls randomly commit light crimes like vandalism. I think we should make chaos the actual reason for monsters to breach other worlds. Basically I suggest that chaos should be a field generated by human actions and thus chaos concentrations would appear in the areas with large amount of people. Chaos would weaken the boundaries between worlds and if enough of it gets concentrated all local chaos reserves get burned to teleport a monster in. That would explain the actual need of monstergirls other than being antagonists: they could force chaos concentrations to detonate in controlled fashion so they wouldn't warp in a monster inside someone's bathroom randomly. Yes. I've mentioned the Overcity contains both monstergirl lairs and magical girl bases. Difference being that the Interdimensional Apartment is capital-S Safe. The Overcity very much isn't.

If you just co-opt an empty apartment in the Overcity, it's no more secure than a normal apartment, and the Overcity has a much, MUCH higher incidence of monsters, freaky shit, and actively hostile landscapes. Yes, provided you know the route to get there, and either have an arrangement to keep the monsters off your back or actively work to clear them out and keep them gone.

The overcity works like a regular city - you can choose to live anywhere, provided you can claim the space and defend it, or rent it from someone. It's just that your address is going to be considerably more complex than:

You have to work for it though. It's not a perk, it's a thing you can do if you do the gruntwork to find an empty place, clear out the monsters and creepy crawlies, and then it's only as secure as you can make it, which with magic in the mix, isn't terribly secure. Only girls who could be reasonably counted on to secure it are high MAG, experienced Reinforcement specs. How many of those are in supply?

As for the pocket apartment, just be consistent about it. One person mentioned they're treating it as they have to use the door to any dwelling to enter it. Another is letting their girl teleport straight to it. I imagine the mechanics of the apartments are as varied as the powersets.

Breezy's is supposed to be optimized for play-by-post, folks have been critical of it for not being as hard-numbers as more robust play-by-post systems are. Breezy's primary defense is that he wants something bare bones for use on 4chan.

Derp Herp's is in construction and even some of the bones are missing. The direction he's building it looks nice for actual tabletop play, but I'm skeptical of it's use in play-by-post and on 4chan.

So, funny thought. Do you think different specializations use different mechanisms for their die-6 powers?
For example, Third Eye. It's easy to see how, say, Mental or Psychic would do it, but what about the likes of Reinforcement? How do you get always-on detection like that from temporary buffs and barriers?
I suspect they're ripping off Kakyoin and scattering a huge number of really weak micro-barriers that get knocked aside by normies, and broken by anything magical. When they feel the barriers break, they know where the magic thing is.

1. Mostly a filler idea, no real need to add it anyway, unless you could use hammer space to throw stuff in the way of attacks.

3. Focused attack is basically a killing blow that doesn't kill, it's a massive attack that drains energy from the user, it makes sense to have the same power up ability.

4. Depending on what you used for the barrage it would require some quick agility, either closing in on melee and attacking very fast, shooting very fast, chain casting a bunch of spells at once, or delivering a whole bunch of scattered punches and kicks, that requires speed.

7. It fits the ability greatly and there's few enough bonuses to luck as it is. Besides Luck is most likely the least important stat as it is.

Why do the abilities need to give stats? The only reason Killing Blow gives a stat point is because it leaves you horribly vulnerable after use and isn't autohit. Killing Blow would be a suckers choice otherwise.

In addition, this makes Focused Attack clearly better than Killing Blow, since its an up-gunned normal attack that can be repeated and doesn't leave you wide open after use.
