Trying to figure out what to do for these plasma coils to make them stand out more. Do I get a light blue and drybrush it and then drybrush white over that?

>> No.39030780

Better still, get a very small brush and pick out the coils with light blue and then white. A drybrush isn't going to have the control you need

>> No.39030801

>>39030702
What I've seen done before is that one will brush up the area surrounding the coils to make it look like they're glowing. I'd show you a picture if I had ever saved one.

HEY, SPEAKING OF THINGS I DON'T HAVE A PICTURE OF: you know that one really big power klaw Gorgutz had back in DoW? I would wager my immortal soul that I had once seen someone make such a klaw out of Ghazghkull bitz, but I can't find a picture of it, let alone figure out how it was made. Can anyone help me to that end? Also, is there even the slightest chance that I'll be able to acquire the necessary bitz without buying a second Ghazghkull kit?

Okay, so I'm trying to prime this bitch. I'm very new to the hobby and have never done modeling before much less painting. But I have a problem with mek. Since he's wearing only chain, I have dilema if I should

>paint body and hands separately (having easy acess to all details), but risk making diffrent skintones on parts which will be visible on hand-body connection

any clue what to do?

Hey guys, I'm slowly getting back into it (again).

I'm playing these Scions as Scouts w Camo Cloaks & Sniper for my Clan Raukaan Iron Hands.

First I just wanted to experiment a bit with a sponge technique for the camo to work as the camo rule, but I liked the result so much I just went on with the whole figure.

Sadly I got these guys from eBay with a thick basecoat and moldlines i didn't bother for a testmini, but now he has to live on with his imperfections.

Also my NMM is a bit messy, the incredible details on these guys got pretty much fucked up by the primer and I'm a bit out of practice, but all in all I like how he progresses.

They really only play WHFB and WH40K at the GW here. It's a small one-man shop with two 4x6 tables and a 4x4 demo table up at the front incase new potential victims wander in. Space is in pretty high demand - the one time I was sure I was going to get in for a game, they were all booked up when I arrived only 30 minutes late!

Lot of good folks there, though. I always have a good time when I go, even if all I do is buy a bottle of Go Fasta Red and shoot the bull for half an hour.

Wow... good luck! I know Bartertown has a separate bitz forum, but you're lookin' for something pretty hard to find. If I were you, I would look on eBay, and ask for help on every WH40K forum I was registered on! At least these bitz are metal so even if you find 'em used, you can burn off any nasty paint jobs.
