So we had two big shitstorm threads in the past two days over thrallherds and mind control and the usual shitstorm posting.

I like thrallherds, but for the minions. Not the mind control, not the bdsm overtones, not the magical realming, the minions man!

Therefore, I've rebuilt the class, what does everyone think?

Demiurges reach into the ethereal to work their will upon protomatter, a will that forms the protomatter into imitation souls and minds embodied to serve the demiurges will. These creations of the demiurge are completely loyal fanatics who will follow the demiurge’s instructions completely. As a result, demiurges tend to have large retinues that can either stay close to the demiurge, go out and perform varied tasks, or even stay behind and manage the demiurge’s residence.
Role: The demiurge focuses on utilizing ethereal constructs and having creations to do her bidding. She acts as her namesake, letting her takwin and her minions perform the activities, while she stays back and monitors.
Alignment: Any.

Requirements
To qualify to become a demiurge, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.
Special: Cannot be a takwin.
Skills: Craft (sculpture) 4 ranks, Heal 5 ranks, Knowledge (planes) 5 ranks.
Feat: Skill Focus (Knowledge: planes)

The demiurge’s class skills are Autohypnosis (Wis), Craft (sculpture), Heal (Wis), Knowledge (arcane), Knowledge (planes), and Sense Motive (Wis).
Skill Ranks at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier.

A demiurge who has just entered the class reaches out to the ethereal plane and crafts imitation souls to embody. Essentially, the character gains something akin to the Leadership feat, but with some important differences.
Those created by a demiurge’s skill are not referred to as cohorts and followers, but rather as takwins and minions, respectively. They do not appear because they admire the character and want to serve her, but because they have been created to serve the demiurge and pursue that urge to the extent of all else.

As with the Leadership feat, a demiurge has a Leadership score that determines the highest-level takwin and minions she can craft. A demiurge’s Leadership score is equal to her character level + her Charisma modifier + her demiurge level. (Note that her demiurge level is counted twice.) This score is not affected by any of the modifiers mentioned in the Leadership feat.
As with the Leadership feat, the crafted takwin’s level is limited, even if the character’s Leadership score would indicate a higher-level takwin. Unlike with the Leadership feat, the level limit of a takwin is equal to the character’s total level minus 1 (not level minus 2, as is true for cohorts).
A demiurge cannot take the Leadership feat; if the character already has it, the feat is lost and replaced by this ability; those who were previously cohorts and followers go their separate ways, and are replaced by the takwin and minions the demiurge crafts. A demiurge’s takwin and minions must be crafted. Minions may be crafted at a rate of the demiurge’s leadership score per day during an hour long meditation, with the lowest level minions being crafted first. If the demiurge is in a location where the ethereal plane is inaccessible, none may be crafted until she moves to a location where it can be reached. A demiurge establishes a resonance with his takwin and suffers if the takwin is killed. For 48 hours following the loss of a takwin, a demiurge suffers one negative level. This negative level may not be healed by any means until 48 hours have passed since the takwin’s death, at which point it fades naturally. Should the demiurge’s new takwin die while the demiurge is still suffering a negative level, he acquires an additional negative level, and the duration of any negative levels gained through losing a takwin resets to 48 hours from the time the most recent takwin was lost.

Takwin

Minions

Master Creator (Ex)
At 2nd level, the demiurge gains a +2 bonus to her choice of Craft (sculpture), Heal, Knowledge (arcane) or Knowledge (planes) skill checks. At every 2 levels thereafter, she gains an additional +2 bonus that can either be applied to the same skill, or to another skill on the list. For example, a 6th level demiurge could have a +6 bonus to just Heal, or a +2 bonus to Craft (sculpture), Heal, and Knowledge (arcane), or a +2 bonus to Craft (sculpture) and a +4 bonus to Heal. Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed.

I mean, any broken build you can name, a Thrallherd can get that at one level lower than himself, and also he's a tier 2 caster who loses only a single manifester level; 2 if you take the last level of the class. Minor Creation (Sp)
At 3rd level, the demiurge can cast Minor Creation as a spell like ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + his intelligence modifier.
At 9th level, this ability can be used as Major Creation.
Create Demiplane, Lesser (Sp)
At 5th level, the demiurge can cast Create Demiplane (lesser) once a day. The demiurge is able to Plane Shift as the spell twice per day, but only between their demiplane and the last plane they were on.
At 7th level, this ability can be used as Create Demiplane, and the demiurge may Plane Shift between their demiplane and the last plane they were on twice an hour.
At 9th level, this ability can be used as Create Demiplane (greater) and the demiurge may Plane Shift between their demiplane and the last plane they were on at will.
Fabricate (Sp)
At 7th level, the demiurge can cast Fabricate as a spell like ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + his intelligence modifier.
Taken Form (Ex)
At 9th level, the demiurge may transfer their mind and soul into the body of their takwin. The following changes take place:
• You gain the type of your assumed body.
• You gain the Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution scores of your assumed body.
• You gain the natural armor, natural attacks, movement, and other simple physical characteristics of your assumed body.
• You gain the extraordinary special attacks and qualities, supernatural, and spell-like abilities of your assumed body.
• You retain your own hit points, saving throws(possibly modified by new ability scores), class abilities, supernatural and spell-like abilities, spells and powers, and skills and feats (although skill checks use your new ability scores, and you may be temporarily unable to use feats whose requirements you do not meet in your new body).
• You suffer one negative level for 24 hours.

Twofold Takwin (Ex)
At 10th level, a demiurge adds a second takwin to her force. This second takwin’s maximum level is equal to the demiurge’s level minus 2, even if her Leadership score would indicate a higher-level takwin. The demiurge suffers a negative level penalty for 48 hours if her second takwin dies, just like the penalty if her first takwin dies. These negative levels stack if both takwins die.

Creators Voice
You are always present in the mind of your takwin.

Benefit: Each of your takwin is always under the effect of a permanent telepathic bond with you. You can always communicate instantly with.
Creators Refuge
Your takwin are also your final resort if death comes calling.
Prerequisite: Twofold Takwin class feature
Benefit: When you die, your mind instantly transfers to one of your living takwin. While inside your takwin, their mind submerges into a comatose state and you take over their body. You retain the body’s Strength, Constitution and Dexterity, but you keep your Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma, as well as all other relevant statistics. Each day you remain in your takwins body, you must make a Will-save or die (DC20 +1 for each day spent in the body). If your body is recreated, you can relocate to your body at will, or you can find alternate means of surviving (via the Taken Form class feature, for example).

I think it's an entirely pointless effort. Instead of building a class no DM will ever let you use, why not look for a way to craft that sort of thing under existing rules for crafting and spells that DMs may actually allow?

Or, just refluff the Thrallherd so that anything which could be used as pure magical realm is removed, or even just try not PLAYING it as a bdsm thing.

This way, it takes up ten levels of prc and makes me think about how I have to play the character. If I was doing it your way I'd just play a straight wizard, bind earth elelmentals to dig for gold, make simulacrums of myself and everyone I want under my control, clone myself, and seal it all in a demiplane while being a full caster with extra options and a different prc and leadership.

This way the character has a focus and a prc that deals with it, instead of just being super batman.

If your DM allows you to use a homebrew class that you made, or in the rest of /tg/'s case that someone else on the internet made. Which I don't know about you, but I've never had even a tolerant DM allow that.

All I'm saying is that we have resources already, and that it's not useful to anyone else to homebrew something that'll never see use rather than utilizing preexisting resources that the rest of us have access to.
