"But- wait!" I try to bargain with her. "This needed to be done! Remember? Asai- And-"

"I remember."

"Then- I even put them back together, and put the nice half in charge!"

I.. think.

"I know, Tower is united again. I spoke with him briefly."
"Wait, you did?!"

"It wasn't very long, he apologized to me and wished my family the best of luck." Mom smiles, slightly. "Then I remembered that YOU didn't come back and got all worried and started searching everywhere!"

"W-" A thought crosses my mind, "How long have I been gone?!"
"Twenty minutes."
"TWENTY MINUTES TOO LONG!" Kaori wraps her arms around me once more.

"And Masami." Mom gets that scolding look once more. "I never said you could do that in the house!"

"I didn't know! It just, kind of happened!"

Wait! I have a plan!

"So, uh! Who is the guy in the woman's kimono?"

"Oh." He says, seeming a little shy. "I'm the monster, it's just- this is the only thing your mother had to wear."

"No you don't, Masami. You're not going to distract me from this."

Oh no!
"But it had to happen, don't I get a little leeway?"
"Masami, you're not grounded because of the house."

I feel, a sense of shock.
"Then why am I grounded?!"
"Because of the cookies."

"I'm grounded because I stole some cookies yesterday?!"
"Yes. And not listening to me. But mostly the cookies."

A question comes to mind.
"You spoke with Tower? How was he?"
"Only over the phone. He was fine. He appeared back in Fortune's parking lot; where he was first split. He says he needs to find himself, whatever that means." Mom pouts. "Distracting me isn't going to work, by the way."

WHAT?

"BUT MOOOOOM"

Okay everyone. I am officially beat.

But hey! At this rate, we could return to SoL soon for the epilogue! Lucky! I like how things are turning out!

So, let me know what you think of the thread. And until next time. Thanks for everyone who participated!

>> No.43247062 [View]

>All the things!

Okay!

I'm noticing participation is slowing down. This is about what I expected to happen.

So here's my plan: We can keep this thread alive until morning to continue it, or tomorrow we can have the Thread 100 Part 2 thread! Or we can just keep going with the numbering to Thread 101. Let me know which you think is best! If no one cares about precise numbering, I might have a part 2 thread to get everything I wanted out of the way before we entered the LAST PART!

Writing!

>> No.43118288 [View]

Thanks for the thread everyone. I was hoping the 99th thread would have a bit more content, but I can't choose everything.

100th thread is going to be hopefully very long. There is a lot of ground to cover. I'm hoping to make it one of my longest threads yet, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it with my schedule.

Also, Tomorrow on Saturday, I may not have a thread. There is IRL stuff happening I need to take care of.

Thanks to everyone for participating. Let me know what you think of the Finale so far. Should it be faster? Slower? Am I skipping details? Let me know!

Thank you!

>> No.41763897 [View]

Forgot to spoiler that image.

Anyway, thanks for the thread everyone. Sorry it was another short one. Things been going pretty rough.

Let me know what you thought of it, take care.

>> No.41170739 [View]

Thanks for the thread everyone. I'm sorry it started so late, and I'm sorry that it was cut off kind of short. I was wanting to get further than I did today.

But I did have fun, it was a good thread. Thanks to everyone who participated and let me know what you think of where we're heading.

Okay thanks for the thread everyone.

Sorry about the sudden interruption, but I can't really do much about 4chan woes.

I'll try again later this week and we'll see if it's not better! We're really getting close to the end-game now!

Thanks for the thread, everyone!

>> No.38477906 [View]

Thanks for the thread, everyone. Sorry it didn't last longer, but I'm still working on a way to extend the thread a few hours.

I may/might end up starting the thread early like I used to (12pm EST or so) as this is about the time I get my first lunch break and can seriously write up an OP and update a time or two.

We'll see how things play out, until Saturday, thanks for staying so patient!

>> No.37766377 [View]

Okay, that was a fun thread. Mom is really fun to write!

Anyway, thanks to everyone who participated today! Let me know what you thought of today's thread.

I'm glad we're at this part of the story

>> No.37652366 [View]

Hey, I had a pretty good update rate this thread. Which is good! This is a part of the story that I've been wanting to get to for a while.

Thank you everyone for the thread, be sure to let me know what you thought of it.
And maybe let me know what you think of the story so far. I love reading your speculation!

>> No.37606688 [View]

Whew, sorry about that. I didn't mean for the thread to be so spaced out.

Thanks to everyone who participated. I'm going to try running tomorrow as well, but lets see if I'm feeling up to it. Keep an eye on my twitter to see if I run Sunday or Monday.

Let me know what you thought of the thread, thanks!

>> No.37344583 [View]

Okay, sorry for suddenly disappearing like that everybody. I wasn't expecting to get pulled away so suddenly myself. I was wanting to get farther along in the story, too!
Thank you everyone for participating tonight, next thread is hopefully Wednesday or Friday. We'll see.

Let me know what you thought of tonight's (pretty short) thread.

>> No.37276574 [View]

Thanks for the thread everyone! Sorry I wasn't able to give it my undivided attention!

Next thread is hopefully on Sunday! If I can keep it up, we'll go back to 2 threads per week again!

Let me know how you enjoyed this thread, and thank you!

>> No.37097906 [View]

Okay! Sorry the last few threads have been rather short, but holidays around here have been rather busy.

Thank you everyone for the thread, let me know what you thought and don't forget to vote in the previous poll.

Okay! Now for that serious talk!

Something big is happening within the next few months! I got a new job!
Problem? The job is far away from where I live! So I'll be moving soon. Moving somewhere that has no internet connection besides a little 3G card I have.
The bad (for me): This means I can pretty much not play any more video games. I can't take the PC I play games on or any consoles with me. So all I am going to be able to do is use the puny 3G connection.

The good (for you!): This means that the only pastime I will have when I get home from work is running quests. I will have nothing else to occupy myself with.

It also means my schedule is going to be kind of weird as I'll only be able to run after work from here on out. But maybe expect more threads? More threads that run shorter? We'll find out!

So! With that out of the way, one other thing! Thursday is Christmas, but I have Christmas Eve off! I was thinking of running a Christmas Eve CPM thread if I have time for it! Let me know if you want it Christmas themed or just another ordinary thread.

Thanks for the thread everyone, let me know what you thought of it. It's one of the few threads that are heavily combat oriented, so I hope I did the combat justice!

>> No.36772519 [View]

Okay, whew, that may be the longest session I ever ran.

That said, I also had a three hour intermission between. So there's that.

Thanks everyone for the thread! Let me know what you thought. I'm not sure when next thread will be, probably Wednesday or Friday.

Thanks again!

>> No.34545273 [View]

And that's today's thread

Sorry about cutting it short, something came up in real life.

So, question I always ask, despite it's length, how was it?

>> No.34452484 [View]

Okay, Sorry for that hour-long delay for the final post.

But it's done! Thanks for the thread?

How was my writing this thread? Enjoying this little arc so far?

Thanks for participating! See you next time!

hopefully next runtime is very soon. I may be able to get a thread in tomorrow.

>> No.34173245 [View]

Okay, we didn't get as far as I was hoping.

But maybe we can leave this hellhole next time!

Thanks for playing everyone who hasn't gone to bed yet.

I do have one more question for you:
What were you expecting to see?

>> No.34049643 [View]

>>34049589
Okay, that seems like a place to stop for the night, Masami is going to be counting floors for a while, it seems.

Thanks to everyone who participated, as always, you can find updates for the next run on http://twitter.com/QM_CardHeart

So, How was it? A thread with actual happening occurring?

>> No.33897666 [View]

Mom was right; I was really hungry and I didn't even realize it.
I'm diving on my food like I haven't had anything to eat for a while. I guess all I had to eat today was a small plate of food that Mae got me this morning.

Aiko notices my change in mood when I start eating, and takes the initiative.

"So, Izumi, Um. How was your family like?"
Way to start off with the easy questions first.

Mom notices me tense up at that question, and she giggles.
"I don't remember too much about them. They're mostly memories of my father."
She knew her father? I didn't know that.

"Oh? What was he like?"

"We.." She pauses with a sigh before continuing,
"We lived a very hard life when I was young. I didn't have much free time, or time to make friends. I didn't even get to go to school until I was a few years older than Masami." She wistfully eyes her teacup.
"But, no matter what happened, he was there for me. He was the one thing in my life that never changed. He never changed, really. I think that was the one thing about him that I both loved and hated the most. To the very end, he refused to change anything about himself."

Aiko seems stunned, "Wow, he must be really happy for you, right? I mean, his daughter went from being really poor to having her own home!"

"Oh, heh." She smiles, "He wasn't around long enough to see what I've become."
"Oh, I'm sorry.."
"Don't be, Aiko. I've long since accepted that he probably wouldn't have liked living this way to begin with."

Living this way? What does that mean?
