I sorta like the presentation in general, but I'm not particularly fond of this direction indie games have taken for a while where you slap a page of derivative rules onto an artbook and call it game design. It undermines the ins and outs of game design and turns it into a zine pastiche that can never be taken seriously. It's the sort of product that dillutes markets to the point where "real" games fall off the radar.

The fact that Free League is publishing it, therefore validating it with its seal of approval as a well-known publisher, is worrying. It's no longer something that you only find on itch.io jam pages.
