>Does the water running into Ground Lake disappear by evaporating (slowly making the lake saltier and saltier with their runoff) or does the water in Ground Lake disappear because the water disappears into a hole in the, aha, ground (that is, there's an underwater opening into the underdark)?
I don't know yet. The players have been in Rustmound and Crimsonfaire for most of the game and don't seem to be heading northwest for a while, so I haven't fleshed that out yet. I didn't really want to get into the Underdark in this game, so I'll probably go for an alternate explanation when it comes up.

Thanks for the response; it was very thought-provoking. Next time I'll study a bit on how water flows and the politically strategic usefulness of being on a river so I can make a richer setting. Have a good day man

To be honest this is what the Inquisition needs a little bit of right now.

Gulliman doesn't have the balls to do it. That's why we need a Lion in charge.

I think you're boats look pretty good. My only thought would be a slightly lighter highlight, to make them pop, especially on the decking. But then again, if you're going for the dark look, I think you nailed it.

Well thanks for this, now I have reference material for when I go back and re-write their fluff. Pretty neat too - I find myself missing those in-depth manuals that games used to come with.

New email from Hawk said remaining Commodore pledges should be shipped out this week, into next. Yaay.

I would agree with this. Even 3.5 and Pathfinder have a wide breadth of options and work fairly well.

Most of the criticisms against D&D here on /tg/ seem to ignore the facts that 1) D&D is not the only RPG with flaws or balance issues, it's just the most popular and therefore its flaws and balance issues are more well known, and 2) D&D is inherently a social activity, and like every social activity, a bad player or DM ignoring everyone else's fun in favor of his own is going to ruin the experience. This is constant across every RPG ever.

One valid criticism against it is that people seem to play D&D exclusively and ignore other systems. But that's a problem with the market, not the product.
