yes, then life happened and crushed every dream I ever had. All I've got left is hope that I'll make median income and be able to raise a family, and the last year has been frustrating and both seem so distant.

I mean I like isolation and have no problem with low social interaction, I'm doing that literally right now on my fourth consecutive year, but my sanity is fucking low. I couldn't get anything done ever in a stressful environment.

Yes. I still haven't given up entirely, but if I ever make it it'll be when I'm 60+ and most likely as a rank and file crew member for some private project. There's something I find demeaning and "beneath me" in just paying for my ride as a tourist.
